MONTHLY VEG GATHERINGS
EVEN hosts a monthly meeting with various veg guest speakers to provide information on an assortment of topics relative to veganism and vegetarianism. Each speaker donates their time and gets to share how veg'ism relates to their particular field of interest. Take a look at some of the inspiring and enlightening speakers who have graced us with their presence here.
Meetings are free to the public and always interesting.
Each meeting is followed by delicious vegan food donated by Nick of Nick'Snacks and free door prizes. There is time to collect free literature, review the books, magazines and videos in the Lending Library and, of course, to socialize with other like-minded folks.
Although we, our volunteers, and our presenters are all veg, you do not need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend the gatherings any more than you need to be veg to join EVEN. EVEN itself---being an outreach organization---welcomes people at whatever stage of the path to veg'ism they are. EVEN strives to provide resources and factual information for the "next step" of their transition, whatever that step may be.
OTHER EVENts
Throughout the year, EVEN also sponsors national speakers, vegan potlucks, summer picnics and other events which are announced by email, newsletter and flyers. (See our archive for previous events and keep an eye out for what EVEN will be hosting this year.)
